ART COURSES

Throughout the year we offer a selection of different courses varying from one week, all inclusive residential art holidays to weekend and one day drawing and painting courses.  The courses are based at Pellevoisin in the Creuse department of central France. The beautiful unspoilt rolling countryside with its woodlands, lakes and  picturesque French villages , offer an ideal location for a drawing and painting holiday.

 

Our courses are aimed at students of all abilities from beginners to more experienced artists. Group numbers are usually kept small so that students can benefit from one to one tuition in a relaxed and informal environment.

Susan Dalladay studied both in Birmingham and at the Slade School of Art.  She exhibits regularly and is an experienced teacher, working with students of all abilities.

Tom Neill

Tom Neill is an experienced practising artist who has exhibited widely throughout the UK and in France.  He trained as a painter in Hull and worked in the post-graduate department of the Slade School of Art for several years.

ONE DAY / WEEKEND DRAWING AND PAINTING COURSES

Based at Pellevoisin, the weekend and one day drawing and painting courses offer beginners the opportunity to try new mediums and subjects and allows more experienced students to develop their skills and try new ways of working. The day ususally begins with coffee and croissants and after a mornings work lunch is provided, made wherever possible with ingredients produced on the small holding. The morning is usually relatively structured with the afternoons left for more individual exploration.

This is aimed at people who would prefer to rent the gite on a self catering basis, but who would still like to have some one to one painting tuition on an in formal basis. Price € 20 per hour.
