Pellevoisin is positioned in fantastic cycling country, rolling hills and quiet roads, ideal for a variety of challenging daily rides. Check out map; Michelins local series 325 Creuse, Haute Vienne or IGN D23 Creuse Department.

In 2008 the tour came very close, stage 6 in the first week and stage 19 on the route back to Paris. If you fancy matching your abilites to the tour riders the race stage routes are detailed below.

Stage 6 was won by Alejandro Valverde who rode the 195.5kms in 4h 57m 53s and the 165.5km stage 19 was won by local rider Sylvian Chavanel in 3h 37m 09s.

The gite at Pellevoisin

This year the Tour de France is again passing nearby with a stage start at Limoges (1hr 50 mins by car) on 14th July (Bastille day). Why not catch up with the tour at the same time as having a cycling holiday?

At Pellevoisin we offer all inclusive cycling holidays, half board or self catering cycling holidays, where accommodation is provided in our gite. With our all inclusive cycling holidays three meals a day are provided using when ever possible our own home grown organic produce. We can accommodate up to six , four in the gite (one double, two single beds and two in a room in the main house with a separate entrance, an ensuite toilet and a private bathroom (one double, two single beds).

Breakfast includes fresh bread and croissants from the local bakery. A packed lunch is provided for you to take on your ride and a three course evening meal, including wine, is prepared for you on your return.

We are happy to suggest a variety of routes, from short rides to day long excursions and of differing degrees of difficulty. We can provide maps to guide you through the network of local country lanes.
