One Week Drawing and Painting Holidays in France

The beautiful unspoilt countryside of rural France is an idyllic place to come for a painting and drawing holiday.  If you are a beginner or a more experience artist you will find the rolling landscape and picturesque villages of this hidden corner of France the perfect place to relax and to develop your painting skills.

The drawing and painting holiday covers a variety of subjects from landscapes, villages and still lives and includes some time working outdoors in the beautiful landscape that surrounds Pellevoisin, as well as in the studio.  Although each day is structured, with a focus on a new medium and subject, students are always free to follow their own schedule.  With a variety of mediums always available, from charcoals and pastels to oil paint and water based paint, there is always the opportunity to try working with something new. 

Our courses are aimed at students of all abilities from beginners to more experienced artists.  Group numbers are usually kept small so that students can benefit from one to one tuition in a relaxed and informal environment.   All materials and equipement are provided and courses can be individually tailored, by arrangement.

Friends and partners who do not wish to paint can enjoy the variety of outdoor activities that the Creuse offers, or can simply enjoy  a relaxing holiday in the tranquil environment that surrounds Pellevoisin. Click here to find out more about the Creuse.

What a special place!

I felt away from it all and was able to relax and to paint without having to worry about a thing. Tom and Sue were wonderful hosts, generously sharing their beautiful hilltop home and also trying to ensure that we were happy and that we wanted for nothing. As for the art, I learned so much and tried new techiques and used materials that I had never used before. Painting outdoors was a new experience for me and I loved it!

The food with fresh produce from the garden was excellent. We were really spoilt........thank-you both once again for a wonderful experience.

We painted, we drew, we used charcoal, pastels, ink, oil paint and watercolour. We walked, we swung in the hammock, we swam in the swimming lakes and then at the end of everyday we sat out under the stars and ate wonderful food. It was just lovely!!

HOSPITALITY

At Pellevoisin we offer all inclusive drawing and painting holidays, half board or self catering painting and drawing holidays, where accommodation is provided in our gite.  With our all inclusive holidays three meals a day are provided using when ever possible our home grown organic produce.  We can accommodate up to six people, in the holiday cottage and in a room in the main farmhouse with its own entrance, an ensuite toilet and a private bathroom.

Breakfast includes fresh bread and croissants from the local bakery.  Lunch is sometimes served in the farmhouse kitchen, on the terrace or as a tasty picnic to enjoy where you are working. After your hard days painting a three course evening meal, including wine, is provided , using whenever possible, ingredients produced on the small holding or locally sourced.
